Membership and Program Director

Part Time • Hybrid - US
The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MassNAELA) is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Membership and Program Director to support the organization’s membership services and educational programming.

This is a part time remote position, approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates located near Waltham/Newton Massachusetts to assist with occasional in-person meetings and events.

Position Overview
The Membership and Program Director plays a key role in supporting MassNAELA’s membership experience, committees, and programming activities. This position works closely with the Executive Director and volunteer leaders.

Compensation
$30 per hour

Schedule
  • 10 to 20 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule coordinated with the Executive Director

Key Responsibilities
  •  Manage and maintain the membership database, including data entry, renewals, and updates
  •  Respond to member inquiries and provide general membership support
  • Support planning and coordination of educational programs and events
  • Assist with program logistics including registration tracking and materials preparation
  • Facilitate committee meetings including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow up
  • Attend virtual meetings and prepare and distribute accurate meeting notes
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Assist with occasional in-person meetings and events within Massachusetts

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills, including meeting note preparation
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Must maintain reliable internet access
  • Availability for occasional travel and in-person support
  • Experience with Zoom, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with nonprofit or professional associations
  • Experience with membership databases or AMS systems (Wild Apricot)
