Generations Law Group, P.C. is an established and dynamic elder law and estate planning practice seeking an experienced attorney to join our team and grow alongside our expanding client base. Position Overview
We're looking for a dedicated elder law attorney with 3+ years of experience to contribute to our thriving practice while advancing their own professional and personal growth. This role combines traditional legal practice with business development opportunities in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Practice:
- Provide comprehensive elder law and estate planning services to clients
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Navigate MassHealth planning and asset protection strategies
- Assist with long-term care planning and veterans' benefits
- Represent clients with respect to long-term planning issues, including fair hearings with MassHealth.
Business Development:
- Actively cultivate and maintain referral relationships with financial advisors, CPAs, healthcare professionals, and other strategic partners
- Participate in community outreach and educational seminars
- Contribute to the firm's marketing and networking initiatives
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals
Professional Growth:
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
- Stay current with evolving elder law regulations and best practices
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Take on increasing responsibility as skills and experience develop
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in elder law and estate planning
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid/MassHealth planning, estate planning tools, and elder law regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Commitment to providing compassionate, client-focused service
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business development and referral generation
- Knowledge of veterans' benefits and special needs planning
- Familiarity with estate administration and probate procedures
- Strong community connections within the elder care network
- Interest in contributing to business development and growing your own client base
