This practice specializes in Elder and Special Needs Law which includes MassHealth/Medicaid Applications, Estate Planning, Litigation and Probate with some Guardianship and Conservatorship work. Job Summary
The associate attorney will be responsible for their own caseload and providing support within the office on other cases. In addition to case review and oversight tasks, the attorney will draft probate and estate planning documents; complete MassHealth Applications by compiling and organizing verifications; will correspond directly with clients, and assist with public trainings and presentations. Probate Court as well as District/Superior Court and MassHealth Administrative Appeals will be required and are going back to in-person; however the Attorneys otherwise have the ability to work remote/from home. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • MUST BE LICENSED IN MA or NH; additional state bars a plus (ME, RI, CO, CT, GA, NJ). 
  • Managing caseload, which includes, but is not limited to, cases in Estate Planning, Guardianships, Conservatorships, Probate Administration, MassHealth, and drafting documents such as Wills, Trusts, Petitions, MassHealth Applications, etc.
  • Organizing and providing case updates on client files
  • Drafting, formatting, and editing legal documents as assigned
  • Filings at various courts
  • Legal research
  • Attending networking events on behalf of the firm/ability to bring cases to the firm
  • Assist with marketing (blog post drafting, presentations, etc.)
  • Communicating with court personnel/scheduling departments
 
Qualifications
  • Must be trustworthy
  • Possess excellent communication and outstanding interpersonal relationship skills
  • Have a strong work ethic and good organizational abilities
  • Strong research and legal writing capabilities.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
